This interview features romantic explorers Anne and Jaylan, who have just had possibly THE most amazing honeymoon we've certainly ever heard of!
Most couples dream of a honeymoon in any of the top romantic destinations in the world which include: Santorini, many places in Italy, Switzerland, New York City, Paris or the latest destination craze - Iceland. This couple however, unbelievably included ALL of these incredible destinations in their honeymoon in one go and more! Anne was kind enough to share the exact breakdown of their dream honeymoon itinerary (including the romantic destinations, hotels and activities they did):
♥♥♥ It all started on September 27, 2016 when they flew from Brisbane to Abu Dhabi with Virgin Australia Airlines.
1. Abu Dhabi
Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi ~ 27 September to 1 October ~ Hotel: Southern Sun Abu Dhabi Activities: Jumeirah at Etihad Towers hotel observation deck 300, the Corniche, the marina and Marina Mall, Emirates palace, Dubai day trip to the Burj Khalifa observation deck and the huge mall surrounding it. On October 1st, the newlyweds flew from Abu Dhabi to Santorini with Etihad and Aegean Airlines. 2. Santorini, Greece
~ 1 October to 5 October ~ Hotel: Dana Villas, Santorini Activities: Semi private 5 hour day cruise with food/transfers with the company Santorini Sailing. The flew with Aegean Airlines to Rome on October 5. 3. Rome, Italy
Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy ~ 5 October to 8 October ~ Hotel: Gioberti Art Hotel, Rome Activities: Hop on/off bus, Vatican City, climb to top of St Peter’s Basilica dome, walk to colosseum, Trevi Fountain, pantheon and other ancient roman sights. On October 8th and 9th they traveled from Rome to Montreux by train, staying over in hotel Eurotel, Montreux or a night and then moving on to Lauternbrunnen again by train. 4. Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Skydiving in Interlaken ~ 9 October to 11 October ~ Hotel: Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen Activities: From Lauterbrunnen – Skydive Interlaken, Jungfraujoch daytrip. On October 11th, they travelled by train from Lauterbrunnen to Lucerne 5. Lucerne, Switzerland ~ 11 October – 13 October ~ Hotel: Ameron Hotel Flora, Luzern Activities: Half day tour from Lucerne to Mt Titlis. On 13 October they traveled from Lucerne to Amsterdam with Swiss Air. 6. Amsterdam, EU
~ 13 October - 17 October ~ Stay: Barangay Bed and Breakfast Activities: Hop on/off bus, A’DAM look out, canal city cruise, live sex show in red light district. On 17 October they traveled from Amsterdam to Paris by train. 7. Paris, EU
Eiffel Tower, Paris ~ 17 October to 19 October ~ Hotel: Mercure Paris Saint Lazare Monceau, Paris Activities: Hop on/off bus, going up the Eiffel Tower to different levels/look outs, climb to top of Arc De Triomphe, Place du Trocadero for Eiffel tower views. On 19 October they traveled by train from Paris to London. 8. London, UK
Tower Bridge, London ~ 19 October to 26 October ~ Hotel: Mercure London Bridge, London Activities: Hop on/off bus, Stonehenge half day tour, Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tour, Thorpe Park (theme park), London Eye, River Thames cruise, tower bridge, the Shard observation deck, Harry Potter and the cursed child play. The couple jetsetted from London to Reykjavik on 26 October with Easy Jet airlines. 9. Reykjavik, Iceland
Northern Lights, Iceland ~ 26 October to 1 November ~ Hotel: Reykjavik Residence Hotel, Reykjavik Activities: All with Reykjavik Excursions – blue lagoon thermal spa, Golden Circle tour, Northern Lights tour, Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon & boat tour. On 1 November, they flew to New York City with Iceland Air. 10. New York City, U.S.A
"Back in New York on top of the Rockefeller center observation deck where we got engaged almost 3 years earlier." ~ 1 November to 4 November ~ Hotel: Hotel Edison, Times Square Manhattan Activities: Highline walk, World Trade Centre observation deck, Central Park, Rockefeller observation deck, Manhattan helicopter tour. They traveled from New York to Los Angeles on 4 November. 11. Los Angeles, U.S.A ~ 4 November to 5 November ~ Hotel: The Tangerine Hotel, Los Angeles Activities: Universal Studios, Westfield Culver City. On 5 November, this incredible honeymoon came to an end when the couple flew back to their hometown, Brisbane in Australia with Virgin Australia Airlines.

Mind-blowing honeymoon itinerary right!? So we asked the couple the million dollar question: How much does a honeymoon trip this amazing cost? Anne says "Our trip was about 32 grand all up and we have been saving for just over three years to be able to afford the wedding and honeymoon." How did they decide which would be the best honeymoon spots for them to include in their itinerary? "Jaylan was born in London but hasn’t been back since he was a young child and we both have never done Europe. I knew I wanted to cross more countries off my list before settling down to have a family so we decided to go to Europe. I had a rough idea where I wanted to go and how long for. My original plan for the countries we wanted to see was over 2.5 months long so I had to cut a lot out and focus on the main places we wanted to go to make our trip shorter and a bit cheaper. Growing up I had photos of Santorini in my families rented house lining the walls in the kitchen and lounge room. It looked so gorgeous, I knew I definitely had to go. Italy is on everyone’s European bucket list so I added Rome as a must see place. I had friends who have previously traveled through Switzerland by train and highly recommended it so we added Switzerland. Amsterdam we added because we heard the canals are beautiful and it was a nice place to visit. Paris is the city of love and another must see European destination. London we wanted to do because there was a lot of stuff there we wanted to see/experience. I am a big Harry Potter fan and they have multiple Harry Potter fan experiences. In Iceland we wanted to go to see the Northern Lights and Blue Lagoon and many other natural wonders. We decided to end our trip in our favourite country - America. We flew from Reykjavik direct to New York City. NYC is special to us as it is where we got engaged almost 3 years earlier so it was amazing going back to our favourite city that meant so much to us and to relive those special memories. It is also where we found out we are expecting our first child (conceived on our honeymoon!)."

They met on the social media networking website MySpace back in 2004 when they were both in high school but didn’t meet in person until almost a year later. They remained friends for another year after that before meeting up again and deciding to date. Their beautiful relationship blossomed - they recently got married in their hometown Brisbane.
